Shadows

shadows (and storage)
I like how the light dances in the nooks of my home. Casting shadows of every shade.
I like how shadows are a brief tug-of-war between light and darkness. For fleeting moments, they share space.

I like the impermanence of shadows.
How it likens life on this side of eternity. Here today, gone tomorrow.
How it starkly contrasts the only permanent thing we’ve got. The One who is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Let’s keep going.
a pot
My cousin gave me this adorable planter (thank you, grace <3). I arranged some wonky philodendron cuttings, and am pleased to present: smol nephew doppelgänger.

Speaking of ukulele. Enjoy 4 minutes of one of the best renditions of Billie Jean. [Performed on a uke that I have been wanting for years, but have refrained from buying because…I already have four. Although, I suppose I’ve said before that ukes are like tattoos. You can’t just have one ;-)]
a book
I’m in the throes of the sequel to that sci-fi book I can’t get over. It’s called Children of God. I managed to jump the queue for the digital copy from the NY Public Library since SG doesn’t have it. Yes, I have two library cards. From two different countries. For I live by the unequivocal wisdom of the great Arthur the Aardvark:
having fun isn’t hard
when you’ve got a library card
be well, friends! always get a minion to do your dirty work 💩
