forward movement
and current reads
dear friends, i’m making yellow curry for dinner and feeling grateful for many things. here are a few!
a liturgy
have you ever had friends travel twenty-four hours just to see you? i have 🥹
we prayed this to start off our holiday together. when I re-read it now, I’m delighted to find that Jesus has made this come true:
and bless also our eventual passage home,
that we might return as those who have been revived,
with hopes resurrected,
delight restored,
hearts readied again
for forward movement into life,
strength renewed to shoulder once more
the meaningful labors assigned to us in this season.
current reads
really enjoying this rotation of books:
Taran Wanderer (Book 4 of The Chronicles of Prydain) by Lloyd Alexander
Viewfinder: A Memoir of Seeing and Being Seen by Jon M. Chu
Spirit and Sacrament: An Invitation to Eucharismatic Worship by Andrew Wilson
physical bibles
i was in an audio-bible phase the last few years. now i’m loving in-real-life bibles. in different translations (and am steadily acquiring more hehe 🤓). it’s fun to flip and feel. i forget how important physicality is, not just for the experience of reading, but also for savoring. and remembering.
be well, friends! don’t forget to wear sunscreen!
love,
reb
