It cannot be overstated: I had the best time on this trip.
There are still no words to describe how magnificent the nature is. And it's even harder to articulate that precious experience of being in awe and wonder of God’s creation with good friends. It’s a joy that compounds.
Becky Keister (our group's resident Benevolent Dictator and my travel buddy of ten countries and counting!) is brilliant with words and wrote a post that perfectly sums up how I feel about this trip.
Also, my brain is foggy from a cold, so I’ll let the video and doodles speak instead. I hope you enjoy.
a montage
We traversed approximately 3,182 kilometers of New Zealand. Here's 58 seconds of what that looked like 🤩:
[I felt this song suited just right: A Thousand Hallelujahs by Brooke Ligertwood.]

I love maps.
some mems
Among dozens of highlights, here are some of my favorites:
our listens
Podcasts: Scamanda. Are the Kids Alright. Tim Keller sermons (or “Timmy K” as Keister affectionately calls him).
Music playlists, of course, included: disney & musicals, Jesus songs, heathen songs, and local radio stations for when our internets peetered out.
What seems most fitting to say, yet somehow woefully insufficient, is: I’m so grateful.
Here’s to a new year with fresh eyes to see our Creator at work in the magnificent and the mundane, and everything in between.
love,

Our God is so big - so strong and so mighty there's nothing that He cannot do! Also imma steal your map for the mems 😝
What an epic holiday basking in God's handiwork! Also love the sketches and map as a way to document your memories 🤍
